Windows Andromeda OS (or AndromedaOS) is a variant of Windows Core OS aimed for mobile devices such as the Surface Duo. The project was canceled for unknown reasons, and Microsoft eventually switched to Android as their preferred operating system for the Duo.

Currently, there is only one known build of Andromeda, build 17686 (with a buildtag of 10.0.17686.1003.rs_onecore_dep_uxp_dev.180606-1600), which was demonstrated running on a Lumia 950 by Windows Central.[1]
