Windows CE 5.0 (codenamed Macallan), is the fifth major revision of the Windows CE embedded operating system, being released on 9 July 2004.
Changes[edit | edit source]
- Introduced the Luna theme, which is very similar to its Windows XP counterpart, but only applies to windows, as the Start menu and taskbar are not affected by the theme. Also, unlike XP, only the blue variant is available.
- "My Computer" has been renamed to "My Device", alongside with a new icon.
- The ".net" branding has been removed.
