Windows CE 4.0 (codenamed Talisker) is the fourth version of Windows CE, which was released on 7 January 2002.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
The user interface has been majorly uplifted to look like Windows XP. It includes most of its icons, but it utilizes the Windows Classic theme. Additionally, Windows Media Player and WordPad have been introduced. The latter utilizes the Microsoft Word 95/97 icon instead of its own one from XP. Also in terms of UI/UX, those apps differ massively from its XP counterparts.
