Windows Embedded POSReady 7 is a Windows 7-based operating system developed by Microsoft, designed for use in point of sale machines such as cash registers, automated teller machines and self-checkouts. It succeeded the Windows XP-based Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, and was later replaced by Windows Embedded 8 Industry in 2013. It forms the base of Windows Thin PC.

As the operating system was intended to be used in embedded systems, most features that are found in the original release of Windows 7 were removed due to a lack of necessity for industrial use.
