Windows Embedded POSReady 7 is a Windows 7-based operating system developed by Microsoft that is designed for use in Point of Sales machines like cash registers, ATMs and self service checkouts. It succeeded the Windows XP-based Windows Embedded POSReady 2009. It forms the base of Windows Thin PC.

Since this operating system is lightweight and intended to be used in embedded systems, most features that are found in the original release of Windows 7 were removed due to a lack of necessity for industrial use.
