Windows Mobile 6.0 (codenamed Crossbow) is a version of Windows Mobile that was released on 12 February 2007.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

The UI was modeled after Windows Vista's Aero interface.
OneNote Mobile, which is a mobile version of Microsoft Office OneNote was added to the OS.
Some improvements were made to the Office Mobile apps, such as HTML email support.
A search ability for contacts in an Exchange Server Address Book was implemented.
.NET Compact Framework v2 SP2 is now preinstalled with the OS itself.
AJAX, JavaScript, and XMLDOM support were added to Internet Explorer Mobile, along with improvements to devicewide Internet Sharing.
Enhancements to the communication abilites of the OS, including a new Microsoft Bluetooth Stack, and VoIP support with AEC, and the MSRT audio codec.
Added Storage Card Encryption, so that the encryption keys are lost of the device is cold-booted
Support for 320x320 and 800x480 screen resoultions.
Improved Remote Desktop access.
A new Customer Feedback option.
A new feature called Smartfilter was added for searching within programs.
Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) support was added for select operators.
