Windows Embedded Standard 7 is a Windows 7-based operating system developed by Microsoft that is designed for use in embedded industry systems like ATMs and devices for the healthcare and manufacturing industries. It succeeded the Windows XP-based Windows Embedded Standard 2009.

Since this operating system is lightweight and intended to be used in embedded systems, most features that are found in the original release of Windows 7 were removed due to a lack of necessity for industrial use.
