Windows Embedded Standard 7 is a Windows 7-based operating system developed by Microsoft, designed for use in embedded industry systems such as automated teller machines and devices for the health care and manufacturing industries. It succeeded the Windows XP-based Embedded Standard 2009 release, and was later replaced by Windows Embedded 8 Standard in 2013.

As the operating system was intended to be used in embedded systems, most features that are found in the original release of Windows 7 were removed due to a lack of necessity for industrial use.
