Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) is an edition of Windows XP, which was originally released on 29 October 2002. It is the first release of Windows to include Windows Media Center.

With the release of Windows Vista, Windows Media Center became an included application in the Home Premium and Ultimate editions which eliminated the need for a separate edition. After that, Windows Media Center was included in certain editions of Windows 7, released in October 2009. It was an optional, paid addition to Windows 8[1] and then discontinued in Windows 10.
