Windows XP Media Center Edition build 2600.2075 (private/xpsp_mce(wmbla)) is a beta build of Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, which was shared by BetaArchive user marcoguy on 19 December 2016.[1] Unlike this build's earlier compile from 13 February 2004, it is not corrupt.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
- This build is the first to have the contain the full eHome OEM suite, as it uses the
$OEM$
folder during setup, including the Media Center Take Home DVD Launcher. The launcher applies a batch file for unattended installation to setup, so it can additionally install the drivers and programs from the eHome OEM suite. The only thing that the user needs to set is the partition where Windows is set up. - This is also the first build to use the Segoe font in Windows Media Center, however, it is not installed by default, causing it to display text in Arial instead as a result.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
This build lacks the winver
banner image.
