Something to the Did you know... Section

Sorry for my bad English I cannot explain it clearly but.... it just seems like...wikipedia? However here's a code example for this

Collapsed content

Did you know...
  • ...that which Windows version requires only 64 MB of RAM, whereas its base Windows XP requires four time that?
  • why not delete this for opening two pages(Sorry I cannot explain clearly)...that there are two Windows Longhorn builds with the same build number and lab, which are distinguished only by compile date? Here are the first one and the second one
  • ...that which Linux distribution will be restarting its name system with version 17.10?
  • ...that real-life events caused a major sudden change to Windows XP's advertising campaign?
  • ...that in which build there are folders both with the XP-style 'My' name and the Vista-style name which dropped the 'My'?
  • ....that there was at least one build of which Windows version which had an E SKU (removing IE), which was never included in RTM?
  • ...that the new periodical release system for which Windows version has jumped build numbers twice?
  • ...that there was a test for which Windows version to see if it could use the Windows 95 shell, namely NewShell/Technology Preview?-->

Does it seem better? --CI611 (talk) 09:26, 27 August 2017 (BST)

Release of the month

Is Release of the month meaning that this build is released and is the Release of the month or it is just Build of the Month? -- Preceding unsigned comment added by LilShootDawg (talk) 18:58, 5 October 2017 (BST)

VARCem

Can someone add VARCem to the list of virtualization software? I have what it could look it on my sandbox. BF10 (talk) 19:36, 18 October 2018 (BST)

Windows 8.1 build 9471

This build isn't recently leaked. As you can see in that page, it says leaked in 2013-08-12 but now is 2019. --Yue Ling (talk) 03:57, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

It is, but in ARM. LarryTN7722 (talk) 06:38, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
You should refer as ARM in "Recently leaked builds" to avoid confusion. Also how did leaker get Windows RT builds when it's only available as preloaded software? --Yue Ling (talk) 09:28, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
Pre-release (and RTM for that matter) Windows RT builds were distributed via Connect. Not part of the same program as x86/x64 builds for the run up to Win8/WinRT RTM, but I think for Win8.1, they were a part of the standard EEAP program. Hounsell (talk) 13:29, 11 February 2019 (UTC)

Featured article is wrong.

That NT 3.1 build WASN'T shown at WW91 as in the article. --LilShootDawg (talk) 16:15, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Wrong link

The PearPC button redirects to a page called “PeacPC”. Is this the intended behavior? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Meow (talkcontribs)

Should be a typo, but you can't fix it. An admin or mod needs to do so. ATeamInc (talk) 05:09, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

Renewal of the "Did you know" template

I think the "Did you know" template is outdated, I think it should be renewed.--Winins (talk) 08:33, 3 June 2019 (UTC)

How is it outdated? --Ryuzaki (talk) 09:28, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
The facts are old (as I know)--Winins (talk) 11:43, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
EDIT: They were updated.--Winins (talk) 15:34, 10 June 2019 (UTC)

New section for main page

On the main page, a “On this day” section could be added to show things like “today is the day that Windows 1.03 was released” or “today (insert years since build was leaked) ago, Windows Vista build 5999 was leaked.” -Meow (talk) 19:39, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

I don't think we are capable of continuously updating the info each day, and even then TCB already accomplishes that in terms of Windows builds. BF10 (talk) 21:16, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

Adding RISC OS

RISC OS is another os and because the page exists, I thought that maybe the page could be linked here. -Meow (talk) 23:54, 25 June 2019 (UTC)

Dark mode

Why is there no Dark mode for the redisgn? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:fea8:aa20:5d4:3ccc:74f1:4ba4:ec8d (talkcontribs)

Eh, because I didn't make one? Can't think of a better reason. --Ryuzaki (talk | contribs) 13:30, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
You will need the Dark Vector CSS from MediaWiki. Random183282 (talk) 11:34, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Removal/Change of 4chan link regarding NT3.5-782 source

It's been a couple of days since the original thread was "Archived." It's not going to be long until the thread is removed from 4chan servers and the link becomes dead. If it's intended to keep the link a little longer, recommending the use of a more permanent link to a different 4chan archive site. -yourepicfailure (talk) 22:08, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

I am just going to remove the link as soon as the link goes dead, I guess. --Ryuzaki (talk | contribs) 22:12, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Add Game section

Add Game section pls EL RISOLIX (talk) 11:55, 10 July 2020 (UTC)

The Windows logo isn't the actual logo used in Windows 10.

The logo used only appears in Windows 10X, and it seems like Microsoft will still use the flat Windows 8 (with darker blue) logo for Windows. I think the icon used for the main page should the flat Win10 one. -PF94 (talk) 19:48, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
