Read the Guidelines[edit source]

Hello! Read the Guidelines, or look into a page that has a picture. --Meow2004 (talk) 18:13, 18 April 2017 (BST)

We're sorry, but many of your edits have been reverted because they do not follow the Guidelines.. Please try to follow them next time. Thanks. --Ovctvct (talk) 13:03, 19 April 2017 (BST)

Okay. The guidelines wasn't loading for me. --LilShootDawg (talk) 17:41, 25 May 2017 (BST)
I realiase now that that sounds stupid. --LilShootDawg (talk) 18:53, 1 March 2018 (GMT)

Date format on BetaWiki[edit source]

BetaWiki uses the ISO 8601 date format (YYYY-MM-DD) to prevent international confusion, as mentioned in the Guidelines. Please don't convert dates to the US date format as such changes would be against the Guidelines and would be reverted. Additionally, meanwhile we appreciate that you pinpoints articles that deserve to be extended, the talk pages are much better places to do that. Thank you for flying BetaWiki! --AlphaBeta (talk) 13:06, 19 April 2017 (BST)

As explained above. --LilShootDawg (talk) 17:41, 25 May 2017 (BST)

Your screenshots[edit source]

You appear to be helping me replacing the Windows 1.01 Development Release #5 screenshots. Unfortunately, your screenshots violate the the Guidelines (screenshots must be native resolution). To fix this, on your machines, go to Video > Resolution, change the value to Original. Now press Ctrl+Alt+PageUp to save a screenshot. Thanks. MarioMario456 (talk) 23:22, 8 November 2018 (GMT)

Umm. That's not an option on 86Box. It's native res. I upped the window size so I could see what I was doing. But not the res. --LilShootDawg (talk) 00:14, 9 November 2018 (GMT)
Changing the window size also changes the resolution--SArAmTaCoJeSUs (talk) 17:52, 9 November 2018 (GMT)
I thought that it would take screenshots in the actual resolution instead of the window res. Also Ctrl+Alt+PageUp doesn't do shit in 86Box. Maybe just say "use the built in emulator screenshot command if said emulator has it" --LilShootDawg (talk) 19:47, 9 November 2018 (GMT)
Try to use Snipping Tool with window snip mode (click on the down arrow next to "New") --Yue Ling (talk) 12:05, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
That also gives the external graphics (the graphics outside the emulated vm). --MCpillager (talk) (Sandbox) 1004065811 bytes of data 13:39, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
Apprently, people can't read dates. --LilShootDawg (talk) 15:14, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
what is this, north korea? --MCpillager (talk) (Sandbox) 1004065811 bytes of data 10:41, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
What is this? Replying to year old threads without even looking to see if he fixed his mistake? --LilShootDawg (talk) 12:14, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
Try Bandicam. Use rectangle mode --113.20.101.202 15:08, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
People read the dates. THIS WAS IN 2018. And what? BANDICAM? It's a SCREEN RECORDER! --LilShootDawg (talk) 15:13, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
But it also have a option to take screenshot... --Yue Ling (talk) 14:16, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
Can you literally stop replying to this? It's A YEAR OLD! I DONT NEED SOME USELESS TRASH RECORDING/SCREENSHOT SOFTWARE ON MY PC. Windows has a screenshot feature BUILT IN! --LilShootDawg (talk) 18:49, 28 April 2019 (UTC)

Why[edit source]

Why would you just delete stuff from pages because it is "pointless"? Who said that anything that runs on a 8086 till a pentium is supported by 86Box? We are not here to save space, are we?

Reminds me of Windows 3.1 build 160. Honestly it wouldn't matter that much if the video stayed in place.

(no offense included, just giving an opinion) --ATeamInc (talk) 06:23, 22 November 2018 (GMT)

Removing stuff from articles about Windows 8 builds[edit source]

Hello, because you removed "post-Release Preview," "pre-Release Preview," "Release Preview Escrow," and "pre-Consumer Preview" from articles about Windows 8 builds, I think you are very strict in grammar. As I said, "post-Release Preview" is "post-Release Preview," not post-RTM! LarryTN7722 (talk) 12:31, 10 December 2018 (GMT)

"I think you are very strict in grammar." I would love for you to say that to an English teacher. --LilShootDawg (talk) 12:48, 10 December 2018 (GMT)

SSD and HDD[edit source]

SSD and HDD are two different things. SSD is solid-state drive https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSD --Yue Ling (talk) 12:09, 13 March 2019 (UTC) Yue Ling (talk) 12:09, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

Not arguing over what the fuck a SSD and a HDD is. --LilShootDawg (talk) 12:23, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

STOP[edit source]

stop marking unleaked/fake build pics as bad quality. --MCpillager (talk) (Sandbox) 1004065811 bytes of data 05:04, 9 April 2019 (UTC)

Then upload them with the description being "This is an unleaked/fake build". --LilShootDawg (talk) 09:56, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
not that easy, besides you can find it out by going to the respective build page.--MCpillager (talk) (Sandbox) 1004065811 bytes of data 13:22, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
Clicking the description box and typing "This is an unleaked/fake build" is easy. If it's hard for you then you have a problem. --LilShootDawg (talk) 15:13, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
But we have many unleaked pics. --MCpillager (talk) (Sandbox) 1004065811 bytes of data 15:41, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
Ok? I'm talking about uploading new ones. --LilShootDawg (talk) 15:42, 9 April 2019 (UTC)

Regarding "build" after dates[edit source]

Explain Windows 1.0 1983-11-01 build, Windows 1.0 1983-11-20 build, and Windows 1.0 1984-04 build then. I don't see what is wrong with adding the word "build" after a date, and using just a date on a build doesn't make sense as it makes it look like the date is a build.
