Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
A new "Administrator protection" section has been added under the Account protection page in the Windows Security app for configuring Administrator protection. The section was initially mentioned in a Windows IT Pro Blog article,[1] although it's not working properly in this build since clicking on the "Administrator protection Settings" link will crash the app with the 0xc000027b
exception code in SecHealthUI.exe
. It's also disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 51406324
velocity staging key.
Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue that was causing the
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
in certain cases in builds 27754 and 27758. - Addressed an issue where File Explorer might hang when browsing a folder with lots of media in it.
- Fixed an issue that was causing Widgets text on the left-aligned taskbar to overlap the date/time section on secondary monitors.
- Fixed an issue where if pointer trails were enabled, the mouse cursor may become invisible with a black box behind it.
- Fixed an issue where some HDDs were being incorrectly listed as SSD on Task Manager's Performance page.
- Fixed an issue that was resulting in lag and screen tearing on secondary monitors with full screen windows.
- Fixed an underlying issue that was leading to Excel sometimes hanging on launch when opening certain files.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Enrolling to the Windows Insider Program on a new Copilot+ PC may cause Windows Hello PIN and biometrics to fail with the
0xd0000225
("Something went wrong, and your PIN isn't available") error. - Users may experience a hang at the boot screen and roll back with the
0xc1900101
error when upgrading to this build. - Text on highlighted items in Microsoft Management Console and some of its snap-ins may have a yellow color.
- Certain settings under Advanced tab > Performance in the System Properties Control Panel applet and the "Animation effects" setting under Accessibility > Visual effects in the Settings app may not persist across reboots.
