Windows 11 build 22635.4445 is a build of Windows 11 2023 Update. It was released to Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 8 November 2024.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

File Explorer[edit | edit source]

  • The New Folder option in the modern context menu when right-clicking locations in the navigation pane, previously implemented in build 22635.4000, has been gradually rolled out. It can be activated manually by enabling the 50235585 and 52081114 velocity staging keys.
  • The performance of context menu launch and File Explorer navigation has been improved.

Shell[edit | edit source]

  • A new Share option has been added to the context menu when right-clicking on a recently used files in Start menu's Recommended section for quickly sharing. It's disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 46493758 and 48433719 velocity staging keys.
  • A new Share button has been added next to recently used items in a jump list for quickly sharing. It's disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 45738940 and 48433719 velocity staging keys.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

General[edit | edit source]

Fixed an underlying issue that was resulting in Snipping Tool screenshots being distorted on certain displays.

Taskbar[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed a few issues that were impacting explorer.exe reliability related to the taskbar, including an issue that was causing explorer.exe to crash sometimes when right-clicking apps on the taskbar.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing Widgets text on the left-aligned taskbar to overlap the date/time section on secondary monitors.

File Explorer[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed an issue where the date/time properties of files were unexpectedly updated in some cases after copying them.
  • Fixed an issue where the Details pane icons weren't responding correctly to theme changes, making it hard to see when switching from dark to light or vice versa.
  • Fixed a black flash in File Explorer that appeared when duplicating a tab.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the search to be triggered repeatedly and unexpectedly when doing a search.
