Windows 11 build 27758 is a build of Selenium, the 25H2 development semester of Windows as a service. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on 4 December 2024.

A CE marking has been added to the "Windows specifications" section under System > About. It's gradually rolled out, but can be activated manually by enabling the 54157537

General[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an underlying issue that was causing USB audio devices to go to sleep after 1 minute of idle time, and not waking up until Windows was rebooted.
- Fixed an underlying issue that was causing a mute or unmute noise in certain headsets unexpectedly.
Shell[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue that was causing
explorer.exe
to crash when right-clicking on app icons on the taskbar in build 27754. - Fixed an issue that was causing the search box in File Explorer to be drawn off the end of the window.
- Fixed an issue that was causing an unexpected black line along the top border of a window.
- Fixed an issue that was causing desktop background to not show correctly sometimes with multiple monitors (showing big black areas).

Fixed an issue that was causing the Settings app to crash when selecting default audio device.
Input[edit | edit source]
Fixed an issue where the mouse cursor would become invisible when hovering over text fields in certain apps.
Task Manager[edit | edit source]
Fixed an issue where when resizing Task Manager to be larger while settings was open, the Mica background wouldn't align with the new window size.
Accessibility[edit | edit source]
Fixed an issue that was causing Narrator to crash on launch when using one of the natural voices in build 27754.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Enrolling to the Windows Insider Program on a new Copilot+ PC may cause Windows Hello PIN and biometrics to fail with the
0xd0000225
("Something went wrong, and your PIN isn't available") error. - The
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
bugcheck may occur in certain cases. - Users may experience a hang at the boot screen and roll back with the
0xc190010
error when upgrading to this build. - Text on highlighted items in Microsoft Management Console and some of its snap-ins may have a yellow color.
- Certain settings under Advanced tab > Performance in the System Properties Control Panel applet and the "Animation effects" setting under Accessibility > Visual effects in the Settings app may not persist across reboots.
