Windows 11 build 26252 is a build of Germanium, the 24H2 development semester of Windows as a service. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on 10 July 2024 alongside its server counterpart.

The following features and changes introduced previously have been gradually rolled out:
- The additional quick status (sports, traffic and finance) beside weather on lock screen (initially implemented in Windows 10 build 19045.4233 and then Windows 11 build 22635.3420)
- The ability to pin apps to the taskbar or the desktop by dragging them from the Pinned section in Start menu (initially implemented in build 22635.3785 and can be activated manually by enabling the

Settings[edit | edit source]
The ability to manually set separate power modes for plugged in and on battery via the System > Power (or Power & battery) page has been added. This feature is disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 39007349

- Fixed an issue that was causing icons under Apps > Startup to be way too large for the available space, causing them to be cut off.
- Fixed an issue where the System > Power & Battery page unexpectedly had duplicate text when showing a warning about a slow charger.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Windows Update page to appear blank except for a red banner and More options section in certain languages in builds 26241 and 26244.

- Fixed an issue that was causing errors when attempting to use Voice Typing with certain languages such as Chinese.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the Microsoft Pinyin option in the list of available input methods under out-of-box experience to be unexpectedly displayed twice.
Task Manager[edit | edit source]
Fixed an issue that was causing colors in the Performance section to not display correctly in dark mode.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Users may be unable to perform an in-place upgrade to this build via Windows Update in builds 26040, 23620 and earlier due to a deadlock that occurs during the initial preparation process.
- Text on highlighted items in Microsoft Management Console and some of its snap-ins may have a yellow color.
