Windows XP and Server 2003[edit | edit source]
While early builds of Windows XP used the same or similar style of the logon screen seen in Neptune build 5111, it started to take its final form with build 2428. This release of Windows also saw the introduction of Fast User Switching, which can be disabled in order to get the Windows 2000-like classic logon screen back.
Windows XP also introduced the "Password Reset Wizard" that can be launched from the logon screen.
