GitHub References
While some builds that are mentioned on GitHub come from more than one repository and fall under the acceptable notability guidelines. I believe that the majority are not notable as they just say "Hey, this build exists!", only consist of a build number and don't mention any notable bugs or features. Not to mention that I feel that these build pages clog up their respective OS version pages. Given that most Win10/Win11 updates have recently been removed, I feel like these references should follow suit. Especially since right now, Copper is around 45% GitHub references.
I think there are three potential ways forward:
- Delete and disallow most build references that come from GitHub (This would be extremely unfair)
- Move the references to a separate page and potentially format them into a table as seen on my sandbox. Table Sandbox (The table is just a personal preference)
- Keep things as is
These are just some thoughts I've had over the last few days. Xeno (talk) 21:14, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
- I think the second option you suggested is the most appropriate solution. It serves to mention that we know these builds exists without having a page for each of them. (I also think this idea can be extended to other "unnotable builds" as well, just a list to reference their existence). • Kiki79250CoC (Talk • Contribs • My Toaster™ specs) 06:15, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
Move Insider service pipeline updates to their respective build pages.
With the high amount of service pipeline updates in the Insider Program, I feel like it would be better to mention these updates on the update's respective OS page rather than have a separate page due to how non-notable the pipeline updates tend to be. Xeno (talk) 17:05, 22 July 2022 (UTC)

What was the first build to completely remove Help and Support Center?
Since the original release of Windows 10 in 2015, the Help and Support Center app has been removed from the OS. When the user tries to open it, it instead redirects the user to the Microsoft support website on Microsoft Edge. What was the first build of Windows 10 to contain this change?
I am also wondering why Microsoft even decided to discontinue the app. It was very useful to have this app because it functioned as a built-in electronic manual for Windows, teaching the user the basics of using the computer and having info on almost all aspects of the OS.

What happend to the Windows components category?
I looked at a few pages like Getting Started and Sync Center which were formely tagged with the Windows components category? Now, some of them are no longer in the category. I tried to pinpoint when this change happend in the Recent changes tracker but, I was not able to find logs for this particular change whatsoever.
Also, the number of entries on the Windows components page has also been reduced to like 64 entries. I think this change was made to reduce the clutter of the Windows components page since Windows contains a lot of components in many forms.

What is going on with the Dev Channel?
It has been over two weeks since the release of Windows 11 build 25236.1000 (not counting build 25236.1010 which was just a service pipeline update) and there has been no client Copper builds since last week because the build that Microsoft was testing did not meet the qualifications to be released to Windows Insiders. Just recently, Microsoft has stated yet again that there will not be any new client builds this week for the same reason. Although Microsoft did release a new Copper server build a few days ago on 16 November 2022 which contained a few changes to the taskbar such as the ability to display the seconds on the clock and the ability to prevent the combining of taskbar icons.
I feel like that something is happening behind the scenes. It may just be Microsoft just doing further quality checks and testing on the next client Copper build before they release it which could happen next week if it does pass all quality qualifications. I also think that Microsoft might also be working on some big features that could arrive in the next build.
Copper has been a rather interesting development semester so far. It feels like that many recent Copper builds have not be packed with lots of interesting features and changes unlike previous development semesters. I feel like that Microsoft's approach to not tying semesters with Windows feature updates is actually starting to work and is better than the previous development approach in the early years of Windows 10 since it allows Microsoft to release features when they are ready to be released to consumers.
WindowsGuy2021 8:58, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
Update: I was misinformed, there is a new client build of Copper that just went live just now. Sometimes, Microsoft's Windows Insider Dev channel release schedule is sometimes a bit weird and inconsistent at times. Sometimes, a build might not be relesed on Thursday and might release the next day for example.
WindowsGuy2021, 12:21, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
- They still focused on client builds, and maybe more than server builds because servers may just be too scared if they install these build on their servers as the server can crash. But you can see in the recent leak, Microsoft is bringing back never combine. I'm surprised they test those features in server build instead of client builds. —— Preceding SIGNED comment added by insomnia {{ talk • contribs • email me }} | 13:44, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
