Windows 10 build 9909 is a build of Windows 10, which was uploaded to BetaArchive on 29 January 2015.[1] It is the last build to feature the charms bar introduced in Windows 8 and the last to have centered title bar text, which was first seen in Windows 1.0.

- The new XAML start menu has been updated and is now enabled by default.
- The Windows Update link in Control Panel has been removed.
- Extended the timebomb from 15 April 2015 to 1 October 2015.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
BIOS support[edit | edit source]
This build will only work on real hardware utilizing BIOS, unlike VMware which gives a CPU fault. On VMware, the user will need to use UEFI firmware.
Window thumbnail border color error[edit | edit source]
If window auto-colorization is enabled, the window thumbnail borders on the taskbar do not change color even after the wallpaper changes. This issue can be remedied by manually changing the window color through the Control Panel or restarting Windows. This is the last build that have this bug.
