A quick reminder that IBM PC/AT-compatibles and the NEC PC-98 computer line utilize otherwise fundamentally different hardware architectures, despite utilizing x86-based processors. I had brought this up on the Discord server earlier as well by pointing out the existence of PC-98-specific HALs in the installation media to you (I386/HAL98*.DLL), but this appears to have gone unnoticed. Hoping this clarification clears things up for you.

I noticed it, however I'm too lazy to write a message at the moment. For the PC mention, BF10 once said '"x86" is already enough to refer to 32-bit PC/AT. We do not need to go through every detail of it being only PC-AT; that's redundant.' NaraInsider1694 (talk) 01:07, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
