Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
Desktop Compositing Engine[edit | edit source]
While the Desktop Compositing Engine functions correctly, Direct3D shaders are not enabled due to a bug. As the DCE window frames rely on these shaders to function, it is not possible to enable them in this build.
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
- Searching and cut/copy-pasting is not functional, as attempting to do so will cause an
explorer.exe
crash. - WinFS is not present. Thus, applications relying on it, such as Outlook Express will crash upon launching.
- The USB Mass Storage feature is non-functional.
- The file saving dialog is non-functional.
TCP/IP bug[edit | edit source]
The TCP/IP stack is very unstable and can often crash.
Windows Product Activation[edit | edit source]
Windows Product Activation is missing.
