Windows Server build 22364 (rs_fun) is an internal build of Windows Server, version 23H2. Several screenshots of the Settings app were shared via the BetaWiki Discord Server. These aformentioned screenshots - specifically the colors and HDR settings sections were shared on 10 June 2023, followed by the screenshot of the About section on 1 September 2024. More screenshots were shared later on 29 October 2024. Shortly afterwards, on the same day, the full build was shared, alongside its rs_prerelease
compile, as well as the rs_fun
and rs_prerelease
compiles of build 22366. The Windows Update source metadata package for this build was shared later on that day.
Due to its earliness, this build still identifies itself as Windows Server 2022 and still uses its user interface.
Hidden features[edit | edit source]
As the build itself comes from a development branch, specifically intended for fundamentals, it notably includes several features that were either not included by default in public branches until they were later rolled out to Windows Insiders or are reserved for internal Microsoft use.
Settings[edit | edit source]
- The Settings app has been completely redesigned, introducing a layout that is similar to Microsoft Edge settings. The new settings app shows the main categories on the left side, while the right side shows the active page content. Unlike the previous iteration, the new design makes great use of consistent acrylic blocks stacked on top of each other. Unlike build 22395 and build 22000.51, it has differences, the symbols aren't colored. However, the new settings is disabled by default, and can be activated manually by enabling multiple Velocity staging keys:

[edit | edit source]
An early version of the new context menu, first included in Windows 10 build 21327.1000 has been introduced. It can be enabled by toggling Velocity ID 31565736
(DTests
) via ViveTool, then restarting Windows. Unlike the final version, it contains a sliding animation. A feature unique to these builds is the ability to collapse the context menu, so it only contains the commonly used file actions.
System-wide dark mode[edit | edit source]
An early version of the system-wide dark mode, first included in Windows Server 2022 build 20231.1000 has been introduced, and can be enabled via ViveTool using the Velocity ID 26338762
(SystemLightDarkAware
). As this is an early build, there are only a few dark-themed dialogues, notably belonging to Explorer. In addition, some windows gain a dark title bar frame.
Files[edit | edit source]
This build includes a new, UWP-based Files application, first seen in the likes of Windows 10X.
Bugs[edit | edit source]
- The Services MMC snap-in's Extended view mode does not work correctly.
