Windows Server build 22366 (rs_prerelease) is an internal build of Windows Server, version 23H2 that was shared on 29 October 2024, alongside the rs_fun
compile of this build, rs_fun
and rs_prerelease
compiles of build 22364.
It is only available in the ARM64 architecture, and it additionally lacks most Windows 11 shell features present in other internal builds. It is the last build to use its predecessor's user interface.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
Server Manager[edit | edit source]
The Server Manager does not exist in early ARM64 Windows Server builds as it is a .NET Framework-based application that was not yet ported.
Internet Information Services[edit | edit source]
Internet Information Services does not work in its default state as the ASP.NET stack does not load under ARM64. Modifying the default application pool to exclude ASP.NET from loading is required in order to make IIS function correctly.
