Windows 11 build 27802 is a build of Selenium, the 25H2 development semester of Windows as a service. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on 28 February 2025, along with builds 22635.5015 and 26120.3360.

The following previously introduced features and changes have been gradually rolled out:

The extraneous space between Dynamic Lock and Administrator Protection sections under the Account Protection page in the Windows Security app has been removed.
Settings[edit | edit source]
The Home page on managed commercial devices with Education, Enterprise and IoT Enterprise SKUs, previously implemented in build 27749 and rolled out in build 27788, has been temporarily disabled by default due to some issues. It still can be activated manually by enabling the 53281237

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

- Fixed an issue that was causing the

error when attempting to install a .NET Framework 4.8.1 update via Windows Update in build 27788. - Fixed a rare issue that was causing a resource loader cache error loading the MUI file on sign in when Administrator Protection was enabled.
- Fixed an issue where Administrator Protection wasn't showing in the results when searching from the taskbar.
- Fixed an issue that was causing a background audio crash in certain cases.
- Fixed an issue in builds 27783 and 27788 where when using Remote Desktop to connect to the device and then tried to sign into the computer locally, it would sit at a black screen.
- Fixed some underlying issues that were causing the
WIN32K_CRITICAL_FAILURE
andKERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
bugchecks. - Fixed an issue that was causing the
sfc /scannow
command to show errors every time it runs. - Addressed an underlying issue that was causing Hyper-V and other features which rely on it (such as Windows Subsystem for Linux) to not work properly.
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
Fixed an issue where when opening a File Explorer window and then minimizing it, it might not be rendered correctly when restoring it.
Shell[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue when using multiple monitors, where the distance between the date and time and edge of the screen wasn't consistent.
- Fixed an issue where when using a non-default mouse color, it may unexpectedly revert back to white when encountering a UAC dialog.
- Fixed an issue that was causing the login screen to crash when clicking the "sign-in options" link in certain cases.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
- Enrolling to the Windows Insider Program on a new Copilot+ PC may cause Windows Hello PIN and biometrics to fail with the

("Something went wrong, and your PIN isn't available") error. - Running certain games or printing from some apps may cause bugchecks.
- Certain apps may fail to launch due to a
d3d9.dll
crash in certain cases.

The search window may be blank when searching from the taskbar due to a background crash.
Settings[edit | edit source]
The colors in the new battery icon may not display correctly when the color mode under Personalization → Colors is set to certain options with Custom.
