About abuse filter 6

I figured out that someone might use the <!-- and --> tags to hide text on the talk page, thus not triggering it because the text is still visible in the edit zone. But, this still counts as removing content from a talk page because on first glance, it looks as though the text is hidden. Can you do something about it? Thank you. --Sebono (talk) 15:04, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

thank you

Thank you for blocking that IP, also he said that those builds are closed source.--MCpillager (talk) (Sandbox) Me discover fire, invent wheel, build server. 12:28, 20 April 2019 (UTC)

Why to revert pages?

Why? Isn't a better quality image better? Stop reverting it back to a low quality one!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Bubbles (talkcontribs)

That doesn't look like better quality at all, as you can see, it really looks like an upscaled version of the thumbnail. I had no idea that it was cropped from the original scan, so perhaps you should have made that more clear. --Ryuzaki (talk) 08:53, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

Deleting images with watermarks

Is it okay for me to delete images with watermarks in Category:Annotated screenshots? Those include the two ClassicBeta images and an image from TCB that was uploaded by JaGoTu. BF10 (talk) 13:05, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

Yes, sure. --Ryuzaki (talk) 13:19, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

Protection

Please protect Template:Sandbox heading. I have created that template and want to protect it from vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.210.114.83 (talkcontribs)

It has now been protected and moved to Template:Leave this line alone - sandbox heading. For reference, please sign your comments on talk pages with --~~~~. The wiki's software will automatically convert it into your username, a link to your talk page and the date. --2.27.117.122 16:10, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

Ban LilShootDawg

He swears a lot here and he doesn't even care. Although it is not on the guidelines, but I feel it is a common sense not to swear.--Bubbles (talk) 07:12, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

I agree, he is also very ruthless and told me to play Call of Duty.--194.124.35.23 07:27, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
P.S. betaarchive.com/wiki/index.php?title=User:MCpillager/The_Banned --194.124.35.23 07:35, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
We might just ban you if you continue to complain about stupid shit on the talk pages. Write some good material for the wiki instead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Overdoze (talkcontribs)
It is a common sense not to swear. I know you are the admin but admins don't ban people (or they never should) for telling others not to swear. Your comment is just plain rudeness. I thinks the jobs for admins and mods are to enforce the rules and being role models, if you and LilShootDawg can swear without a consequence, then everybody can copy you and they all can swear on talk pages.--Bubbles (talk) 08:54, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
Swearing is not against the rules, thus LilShootDawg didn't break the rules and neither has anyone else who sweared. I'm not banning someone who isn't breaking the rules, but I will ban people who think they're running this site when they're actually not (hint: you). Your own attitude when talking to staff members has been noted as rather unpleasant as well and patience is running out fast.
LilShootDawg has been warned to improve his behaviour, and you are being warned at this very moment to drop this matter now, or you will have cooldown as well.
This discussion is now over, any further objections and the above paragraph will happen.--Overdoze (talk) 09:21, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

MCpillager is getting desperate.

PLEASE REVERT MY TALK PAGE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND GET RID OF THIS PARASITE YUSUFT19! Arkan9 (talk) 08:07, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

First of all, why the bold? Second, this is not YusufT19 but MCpillager being stupid enough to trigger the abuse filter every time he evades. --Ryuzaki (talk) 10:25, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

Sorry, couldn't contain myself. MCpillager is getting really desperate. He vandalized my talk page and yours as well, now it is your chance to make MCpillager pay the price. At least there's no Windows Server 2000 I have to deal with. Edit: Thank you very much for getting rid of MCdipshit's talk page vandalism for me. <3 Arkan9 (talk) 10:28, 10 May 2019 (UTC)

Done. --Ryuzaki (talk) 14:18, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

Main page

Main page needs fixing. Bot screwed it up. --LilShootDawg (talk) 14:16, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

Talk page delete request

Hello Ryuzaki.

Can you please delete my talk page.

MCpillager vandalized it and I now want my talk page gone completely.

Arkan9 (talk) 07:51, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

Please delete mine because I am a target of vandalism as well. I am not sure if MCpillager is the one who did it but I don't want my talk page to be vandalized.--Bubbles (talk) 08:18, 26 May 2019 (UTC)
MCpillager was the one that vandalized your talk page. Arkan9 (talk) 08:21, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

Deletion

Can you please delete the page User:Meow/menu? When i was moving my menu from the template namespace back to the user namespace, I accidentally moved my menu to the BetaWiki namespace and now there is an empty page where I wanted my menu to be. -Meow (talk) 17:40, 26 May 2019 (UTC)

Delete request

Hello Ryuzaki, I would like to ask you to delete these pages:

Thank you very much -- ToMi (talk) 14:20, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

I have deleted the pages for you. BF10 (talk) 15:21, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
Next time you could use the administrators' noticeboard for delete requests not covering articles. --Ovctvct (talk) 17:31, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
Or the QD template. --Ryuzaki (talk) 17:43, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
OK, thank you -- ToMi (talk) 15:36, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
But, using the QD template on a large amount of pages is a lot of work. Trust me. --109.180.145.23 14:18, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

The old naming scheme (product:version) STILL hasn’t been fully cleaned up

When I was looking through wanted pages, i found a lot of links to the old naming scheme. Can someone clean it up? -Meow (talk) 02:43, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

These are links from talk pages and the community portal, not mainspace articles. I might fix them sometime. --Ryuzaki (talk) 09:29, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Ok, didn’t know that. -Meow (talk) 13:02, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

Delete user pages

I’d like to know why we cannot delete our own user pages. After all, they belong to the user that owns them so we should be able to delete them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Meow (talkcontribs)

This is not supported by the wiki software. --Ryuzaki (talk) 16:27, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

QD template grammar

On the QD template, the word “meet” is missing from the sentence “If the (namespace helper) does not the criteria for quick deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this template, but do not delete it from pages you have created yourself. -Meow (talk) 18:08, 1 June 2019 (UTC)

How

How did you fix my reply on my talk page, I couldn’t get it to work, so how did you? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Meow (talkcontribs)

When a new line begins with one or more spaces, MediaWiki renders it as code. If you want to indent your message, use one or more semicolons to do that. --Ryuzaki (talk) 13:33, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Ok, got it -Meow (talk) 15:09, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Leftover pages to be deleted

Can you please delete this page , User:Meow/RedirectLoopTest and User:Meow/RedirectLoopTest2 They are leftovers from experiments I have tried -Meow (talk) 15:27, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

(possible) MAJOR BUG

Many pages are displaying as the main page, so most of the wiki is inaccessible to me. Does this happen on your end or is it just me? -Meow (talk) 03:21, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

Raptide from the Free Vandalism Wiki vandalized those pages. Oh and some templates too.
Can someone please revert them back to normal?
This is all because MCpillager hates BetaWiki so fucking much.
Arkan9 (talk) 03:31, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
Done. I wish he's banned from BA as well, we won't see him around at least. --ATeamInc (talk) 08:13, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
Registering and IP editing is prevented by filters until we have a better solution. --Ovctvct (talk) 08:16, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

Userright question

What's an "automoderated user"? --109.180.145.23 12:35, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

Oh, I think it's a user that doesn't need to have their edits moderated. --109.180.145.23 12:41, 8 June 2019 (UTC)10
Correct. --Ryuzaki (talk) 12:43, 8 June 2019 (UTC)

Moderation

Why does moderation have to review edits on our own user pages? I think that should not happen because each user page belongs to a specific user and there are abuse filters that block editing on a user page that does not belong to a person. -Meow (talk) 15:01, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

We are going to do some readjustments to the system in a few weeks. --Ryuzaki (talk | contribs) 15:03, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
Ok, hopefully the readjustments include moderation not having to review user page edits. -Meow (talk) 15:10, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Why did you revert my changes?

I just wanted to make the article more detailed! Revert it back please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.242.223.230 (talkcontribs)

There is no "new" Start button. --Ryuzaki (talk | contribs) 13:17, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
Oh, I see now. The button is smaller in the next build, but build 10022 has absolutely nothing to do with it. There is literally no reason to mention it in that page. --Ryuzaki (talk | contribs) 13:21, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
Alongside, there is no need to mention every little detail in each build. We have had this problem in the past with Chicago builds and we had to remove them due to redundancy. BF10 (talk) 13:54, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

Build list builds

There's still three more build list only builds that have to be deleted. 11054, 18823 and 18824. -- 2.30.192.116 16:50, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

You're still not done. There's 16167 and 16168. -- 2.30.192.116 16:06, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

something wrong

If U try to view the block log, it thinks U are tryng to moderate edits. Are this intented or not???--103.6.158.186 11:00, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

Dude Im not Mcpillager, im Iamturtle76. Also the error Still Persists.--103.6.158.186 13:25, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
I'm sure that's not true. --ATeamInc (talk) 15:32, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

Six VERY poorly made articles.

Can you delete these five pages please?

These are ActiveX, User Accounts Control, Microsoft encarta, Windows update and Autoexec.bat.

They have the hallmarks of spam, including mispellings and grammar errors everywhere.

Also please ban the IP who created these pages, this one looks like an obvious spammer.

And you should put that Windows Update article in the Hall of Shame! That article looks absoutely atrocious! Arkan9 (talk) 15:37, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

Yup, I agree with what Arkan9 said. --2.27.117.52 16:35, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
Put it up on articles for deletion and see what others think. I am not satisfied with these articles either, but I am afraid that aside from ActiveX they aren't eligible for QD. Personally I think that there is nothing preventing these articles to be improved, other than that somebody must be willing to. The deletion policy itself says that deletion should be used as the last resort. --Ryuzaki (talk | contribs) 10:06, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
But these articles that I'm talking about are beyond BetaWiki's scope. I thought that BetaWiki was about pre-release versions of OSes, games, apps and what not.
Not random Windows features and Encarta... they are completely redundant... they have articles on Wikipedia.
Edit: theres more
Arkan9 (talk) 10:13, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
I approved these edits because they didn't seem like spam to me, and I still think so. However, I agree that they seem to be out of scope for this wiki. In any case, this should be further discussed with the rest of the community.--Overdoze (talk) 13:55, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
Exactly Overdoze, out of scope. That's why I think that these six articles should be removed.
Where should we discuss these six articles?
Arkan9 (talk) 14:01, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
All bugs in that pages are fixed. Now I'm just waiting for the moderator to approve it. -- ToMi (talk) 09:36, 13 July 2019 (UTC)
I attempted to fix most of the articles, still did a shit job, but it looks slightly better.
I still think that these articles need to be deleted. Either that or start over.
As I'm not good at making or improving articles.
