Windows Media Player 6.4 is a version of Windows Media Player released in 1999 for Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98 and as part of Windows 2000. It is also present in Windows Me, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, although it is hidden in the C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player directory. It can be launched by typing mplayer2 in the Run dialog. It was discontinued in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and finally removed in Windows Vista build 5048.
Windows Media Player 6.4 is also included with Internet Explorer versions 5.01, 5.5 and 6.0 as an optional component and is also installed with Windows Media Player 7 on Windows 95 and 98.
