Windows Media Player 7.0 is a version of Windows Media Player released in June 2000 for Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 98 and Windows 2000. It dramatically changed the user interface compared to previous versions. This is the last version of Windows Media Player to run on Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0; the following version, Windows Media Player 7.1, only supports Windows 98 and later.

A near-final, pre-release version is included in the RTM release of Windows Me.[1]

Windows Media Player 7 cannot be uninstalled in favor of 6 as doing that will warn that the system is unsupported.
