Windows 11 build 26120.1350 is a build of Windows 11 2024 Update. It was released to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel on 9 August 2024 as the KB5037898 enablement update to build 26100.1350 (KB5041871). This build was distributed as a checkpoint cumulative update that contains incremental changes since build 26120.1252.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Features[edit | edit source]

The following features and changes introduced previously have been ported to this build, albeit being disabled by default:

  • The grid and category views of Start menu's All apps list, along with the dropdown menu for switching between different views (initially implemented in builds 22635.3420 and 22635.3930; can be activated manually by enabling the 47205210, 48433719 and 49221331 velocity staging keys)
  • The ability to show hover cards for inactive and pinned apps on the taskbar (initially implemented in build 22635.3930 and can be activated manually by enabling the 48980211 velocity staging key)
  • The Privacy & security > Recommendations & offers (perviously General) page in the Settings app (initially implemented in build 22635.3936 and can be activated manually by enabling the 49666228 and 48433719 velocity staging keys)
  • The redesigned Widgets board based on the WinUI 3 framework (initially implemented in build 22635.4000 and can be activated manually by updating the Windows Web Experience Pack to version 524.20502.0.0 (or later), and then enabling the 47557358, 48433719 and 49686193 velocity staging keys and the "Third party feed is shown in Widgets" policy under %SystemRoot%\System32\IntegratedServicesRegionPolicySet.json)

The new "My Phone" button under the Nearby Share section in Windows Share flyout, previously introduced in build 26120.1252, has been gradually rolled out.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

Microsoft SmartScreen will now verify the source of the MSIX package when pending to install it either locally or via the web. This change is gradually rolled out.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed the issue that was causing the color for graphs in the Performance section in Task Manager to not display correctly in dark mode.
  • Fixed the issue that was causing Windows Sandbox to fail to initialize with the 0x80370106 error.
  • Fixed an issue where voice access commands weren't working for non-English supported languages.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • This build is labeled as a repair version in Windows Update.
  • Adding additional languages or optional features may fail with the 0x800f081f error.
  • Navigating between different pages in Task Manager may lead it to crash.
  • Text suggestions for the hardware keyboard may not work properly (selecting one unexpectedly concatenates).
  • The view settings of All apps list in Start menu may not persist after reboot.
  • Switching to the kaomoji and symbols sections or selecting an emoji may cause the emoji panel to close unexpectedly.
