Changes[edit | edit source]
Setup[edit | edit source]
Several changes have been made to setup:
- The EasyDriver option - first introduced in the eHome OEM build 5329 - has been removed.
- When launching setup, the "Beginning installation..." text has been shortened to "Please wait...".
- A new page has been added, where the user can configure language and regional options for the installation. Notably, it includes the Windows logo, but the "Windows Vista" text is white instead of black, so it's hard to see it. This is normally already being configured in the Autorun, but it has been replaced in this build with the "Media Center DVD Take Home Launcher".
- The EULA page has been updated and the I agree/decline option buttons were replaced with a checkbox for agreeing the EULA.
- Setup now shows the progress during the first stage, as well as the new logo next to the "Installing Windows" banner.
- The message shown in the second stage has been shortened to simply "Please wait...".
- During the OOBE, if the user clicks Next without choosing a background, it will apply the default desktop wallpaper.
Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]
- System Restore received a new icon.
- Minor visual tweaks were made to Windows Media Center.
