Windows 8 build 8102 (winmain_win8m3_eeap) is a build of Windows 8, which was originally released to Microsoft partners through the Ecosystem Engineering Access Program (EEAP). In a similar fashion to build 8064, which was also released through the same program, it had the entire Metro user interface stripped out at compile time, despite the public Developer Preview build released in the same period already featuring it by default. As a consequence, this build cannot be redpilled.
The build was publicly uploaded on 31 December 2021.
Changes[edit | edit source]
Removed all of the Windows 7 regional wallpapers and themes.

Installation[edit | edit source]
Compatibility[edit | edit source]
To install or run this build in VMware Workstation, the hardware compatibility version must be set to versions 8.x/9.x if using a later version of VMware Workstation such as 14.x; otherwise, a partially garbled system crash message will appear upon boot.
