Windows 8 build 8102.0 (winmain_win8m3_eeap) is a build of Windows 8, which was shared onto the BetaWiki Discord server on 31 December 2021.

This build was released to Microsoft partners through the Ecosystem Engineering Access Program (EEAP) and as is common for such builds coming from the winmain_win8m3_eeap branch, it had the entire Metro user interface stripped out at compile time and therefore cannot be redpilled in its vanilla state.

This build has a broken timebomb when installed on the current date.

This is the first build of Windows 8 to not include classic built-in Windows Games from Windows 7.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

Compatibility[edit | edit source]

To install or run this build in VMware Workstation, you must set the hardware compatibility to versions 8.x or 9.x if using a later version of VMWare Workstation such as 14.x; otherwise, a black screen with an error code will appear such as the code 0x0000001E or 0x0000001A with text that says "Your computer needs to restart. Please hold down the power button.".
