Bugs[edit | edit source]

Aero[edit | edit source]

This build appears to have a semi-broken Windows Aero theme, with only the top portion of the window frame using the blur effect, leaving the side borders transparent.

Aero Glass in Starter and Home Basic[edit | edit source]

This build automatically enables Aero Glass transparency even when installing the Starter or Home Basic SKUs, which is not supported by default.

Upgrading[edit | edit source]

  • When upgrading to 7963 on some machines, Windows will appear to hang on Preparing to configure Windows. After some time, Windows will restart and continue the upgrading process. This bug is persistent until build 8032.
  • When logging in for the first time after a successful upgrade, the buildtag will not be displayed on the desktop. Restarting the machine will make the buildtag visible again.
