Windows 11 build 22635.4225 is a build of Windows 11 2023 Update. It was released to Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 20 September 2024.

Shell[edit | edit source]

A new "Send to My Phone" option has been added to context menu for quickly sharing content to an Android device. This option is gradually rolled out, but can be activated manually by enabling the 45286369, 48433719 and 52800817 velocity staging keys.
The Windows Security credential dialogs for passkey has been redesigned. It's disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 42941381 and 48433719 velocity staging keys.

File Explorer[edit | edit source]

The ability to show user account picture next to user name of any OneDrive file under Home page and the Details pane has been added. This feature is disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 45130483, 48433719 and 48895801 velocity staging keys.

Settings[edit | edit source]

A new section has been added under Personlization > Text input for configuring the Copilot key on keyboard. Selecting the "Custom" option will show a flyout to select an UWP app to launch when pressing the Copilot key.
The "Hand Off" feature, a device syncing functionality that's reminiscent of OS X Yosemite and iOS 8's Handoff capabilities and aims to create a seamless integration between mobile apps and the Windows desktop environment, has been implemented in its preliminary state. It can be configured via the new System > Hand Off page. This feature is also disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 48433719 and 49527529 velocity staging keys.

Task Manager[edit | edit source]

The ability to show the disk drive interface next to the drive type under the Performance page has been added. This feature is disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 51978387 velocity staging key.
The dialog for disconnecting the selected user has been redesigned to align with the design aesthetics of Windows 11. This change is disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 53330962 velocity staging key.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

User Account Control now prompts for elevated credentials when Windows Installer repairs an application if needed. This behavior can be toggled off by applying the following registry key:

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

Fixed an issue that was causing a bugcheck when closing Notepad in build 22635.4145.
Fixed an issue that was causing the emoji panel not working properly (closing after selecting one emoji, and not able to switch categories).
Fixed an issue that was causing Task Manager to stop responding when switching from a high contrast theme to a normal theme.
