New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Shell[edit | edit source]

The Studio Effects icon in the system tray and Quick Settings, initially implemented in build 22635.3276 and gradually rolled out in build 22635.3930, has been temporarily disabled. It can still be activated manually by enabling the 46107637 and 48799383 velocity staging keys.

Settings[edit | edit source]

The "Enhance pointer precision" option and the "Scrolling direction" dropdown menu (ported from the Mouse Control Panel applet) under Bluetooth & devices > Mouse, initially implemented in build 26227, has been backported to this build. It's disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 48433719 and 51190751 velocity staging keys.

Miscellaneous[edit | edit source]

The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\LSA\NetJoinLegacyAccountReuse registry key that enables domain join operations from reusing an existing computer account in the target domain has been removed.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed an issue where keyboard focus might get lost on selection of an unselected tab item.
  • Fixed an issue where voice access commands weren't working for non-English supported languages.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the emoji panel to close when trying to switch to the kaomoji and symbols sections, or after selecting an emoji.
  • Fixed an issue in Registry Editor where pasting hexadecimal values when editing QWORD or DWORD values could have corrupted the value, e.g. pasting 0x1 would become 0x411.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Closing apps from the taskbar may cause explorer.exe to crash.
  • Interacting with archive files may cause explorer.exe to crash.
