Android 16 (codenamed Baklava) is an upcoming version of the Android mobile operating system. It is currently shipping experimental releases intended for developers and early adopters and is expected to have an initial stable release sometime during Q2 2025.
Android 16 completes the transition of Android's release cycle to trunk-based, feature rich quarterly releases.
