Changes[edit | edit source]
- This build changes the default Start screen items, so only Metro Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, and Desktop are left.
- Internet Explorer is no longer pinned on the taskbar by default.
- The taskbar text color in the Windows Basic theme has been changed to white.
- This build now refers to itself as "Windows Server 8 Beta", replacing the previous branding seen in earlier builds.
- The user interface in Server Core SKUs now runs in 1024x768 resolution instead of 800x600.
