Windows NT 3.1 build 239
|Build of Windows NT 3.1|
Windows NT 3.1 build 239 is the December 1991 build of Windows NT 3.1. The color palette has been changed back to a more vivid one used by Windows 3.1 and build 196 as opposed to the older Windows 3.0 palette used by the October build.
Like in earlier builds, SoundBlaster configuration is hardcoded for I/O port 0x260 and IRQ 7.
This is the earliest available build of NT for the MIPS architecture. Due to its earliness a custom ARC firmware ROM image must be used otherwise the installer and boot loader will crash or exit. The build will boot in QEMU but due to requiring G300 graphics (G364 is what is emulated) will not show any UI. In MAME the build can install successfully (despite emulating the "wrong" graphics card) but the boot entry is incomplete and needs to be fixed in ARC firmware setup after installation.
