Changes[edit | edit source]

  • Movie Moments received a major UI overhaul and a new icon.
  • The Camera app now uses a blue tile on the Start screen.
  • Kiosk mode has been renamed "Assigned access".

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Upgrading from Windows 8 build 9200 may cause the Windows Store and Settings applications to be rendered unusable.
  • This build's x86 compile bugchecks with code IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL when run under a processor that lacks either the No eXecute (NX) bit or the SSE2 instruction set, and is the result of a processor feature set check that is not being handled properly.
  • Visual artifacts may appear while using Metro applications and features.
  • Desktop Window Manager animation transitions do not function properly; fades do not display properly, and certain Metro UI animation transitions (such as invoking the Charms bar) do not play at all.
  • The winver dialog is missing in the Polish release.
  • Post OOBE words are mixed together in the Russian release.
  • Movie Moments is localized in pseudo in other languages.
  • Settings App is not translated in other languages.

ARM32 compile specifics[edit | edit source]

  • Attempting to use the Search charm in the ARM32 compile will cause the File Explorer application to crash.
  • It is not possible to select a startup option without a physical keyboard attached as the touch keyboard does not appear.
  • Opening the Camera App crashes and returns you to the Start screen.
