Windows 11 build 22635.3790 is a build of Windows 11 2023 Update. It was released to Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 21 June 2024.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Copilot[edit | edit source]

The standalone Copilot app, previously introduced in build 22635.3720, has been gradually rolled out.

Start menu[edit | edit source]

A new companion panel has been added next to the Start menu for managing Android mobile devices that are connected via the Phone Link app. The Phone Link app version 1.24052.124.0 (or higher) is required for this feature to work. This change is only available to a subset of users, but can be activated manually by enabling the 48433719 and 48697323 velocity staging keys.

Taskbar[edit | edit source]

  • The redesigned taskbar thumbnail previews with new hover and switch animations, initially implemented in build 26052, has been backported to this build. This change is disabled by default, butcan be activated manually by enabling the 29532725 velocity staging key.
  • The ability to show abbreviated date/time in the system tray has been added (toggleable via Personalization > Taskbar in the Settings app). This feature is disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 48525682 velocity staging key.
  • The ability to toggle on and off the notification bell icon has been added (toggleable via Personalization > Taskbar in the Settings app). This feature is disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 49082522 velocity staging key.

Shell[edit | edit source]

The Open With dialog has been redesigned with the following changes, which are disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 41118774 and 51339492 velocity staging keys:

  • The "Default app" header has been removed.
  • The "More options" header has been renamed to "More apps", along with the ability to follow the system accent color.
  • Positions of the "Choose an app on your PC" and "Browse apps in the Microsoft Store" options have been interchanged.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed the issue that was causing the Settings app to crash when navigating to the Wi-Fi properties page.
  • Fixed the issue that was causing the Settings app to crash when attempting to install an optional feature via System > Option features.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

Start menu[edit | edit source]

  • The All apps list may not be read out by screen readers.
  • Some apps may not be sorted correctly in the All apps list in certain display languages.

Accessibility[edit | edit source]

Attempting to use Voice typing may cause errors in certain cases.

Widgets[edit | edit source]

The following issues are applicable if the new position for the Widgets entry point on left-aligned taskbars (previously introduced in build 22635.3420) are enabled:

  • Toggling the Widgets option under Personalization > Taskbar in the Settings app may refresh the taskbar.
  • Swipe invocation for the Widgets board and unpinning the Widgets entry point from the taskbar may not work if the taskbar is center-aligned.
  • The Widgets board may be incorrectly positioned when Copilot is in side-by-side mode.
