Windows 10 build 18947 (rs_xbox) is an internal build of the Windows 10 May 2020 Update, which was accidentally released to the Insider Fast Ring on 24 July 2019 alongside builds 18946 and 18947 (rs_prerelease).[1]
Findings[edit | edit source]
This build includes a non-functional version of the new Control Center also found in the other accidentally published builds as well as a new Start menu, both of which are reminiscent of the design changes later found in Windows 10X and Windows 11.
The new Start menu can be enabled with the mach2 tool by executing the following command in an elevated command prompt: mach2 enable 19908852 -v 1
. The Control Center can be enabled by adding the following value to the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Center]
"UseLiteLayout"=dword:00000001
