Protected pages
Why did you protect the Windows Vista, Windows 8 and Microsoft Windows pages to edittrust, did you realise that BillyHatcher2012 and many other non-VIP users that contributed to them cannot do that anymore? --Ovctvct (talk) 19:44, 25 October 2014 (BST)
- And have you realized that those exact pages have been recently vandalized? --AlphaBeta (talk) 10:40, 27 October 2014 (GMT)
- In addition to what AlphaBeta said, such pages won't need changing on daily basis, and they're fine at their current state. Should anything there needs changing/improving, you know how to let us know. AirportsFan. (talk) 10:46, 27 October 2014 (GMT)
- Why did you put back protection on Windows 8 page? --Tau Ceti (talk) 09:16, 25 November 2014 (GMT)
Vandal here
The user S-e-x[censored] is vandalising BetaWiki and adds spam links to youporn. (Ovctvct)
- Saw and deleted. Going through the recent edits and censoring them now. --AlphaBeta (talk) 18:58, 20 November 2014 (GMT)
Why have you unblocked X010?
Title. --121.214.188.195 11:07, 9 December 2014 (GMT)
- He's unlikely to come and the reason behind his block wasn't that much serious as spamming and such stuff, so I unblocked him. If he comes again and does [censored], he'll be again blocked. --AlphaBeta (talk) 21:42, 13 December 2014 (GMT)
Please protect the Windows 8 build 8888 page.
The flaming NFO is becoming an edit war. I don't want to offend anyone so I have removed it. --Tau Ceti (talk) 22:15, 28 December 2014 (GMT)
Vandalism on Beta Wiki
The user "Random" is replacing contents of various pages with links to youporn and goatse, and words such as f*** and sex, and random numbers like "69". Can you block this user and repair the pages that have been vandalised? Thanks. --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 18:11, 5 January 2015 (GMT)
Plus, can you please delete that guy's edits? He's seriously annoying.] --Tau Ceti (talk) 23:58, 5 January 2015 (GMT)
Thank you for getting rid of the archive
I didn't need it anyway. --Tau Ceti (talk) 23:39, 18 January 2015 (GMT)
Another Vandal
Several users are vandalising pages: check Recent Changes. Example is "Beta Tester99". This seems to be happening too much so why not disable account registration temporarily? --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 08:09, 30 January 2015 (GMT)
- It's not a best resolution. The resolution is try more policies. --Yue Ling (talk) 06:24, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
This is just horrible...
The wiki decline and vandals over the past few days are annoying really. Tau Ceti (talk) 22:58, 30 January 2015 (GMT)
- I agree. This is the biggest wiki war I have ever seen in quite some time. Thank goodness that all the vandals are blocked. I and admin ovctvct are just waiting for more vandals to come so we can revert their edits. --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 03:25, 31 January 2015 (GMT)
Interface bug
The 'page does not exist' text is not in English. Can you please help?? Tau Ceti (talk) 09:39, 3 March 2015 (GMT)
- That seems to be a bug in MediaWiki when somebody has selected a language other than English in his preferences. So sadly, can't help on this one. --AlphaBeta (talk) 15:36, 3 March 2015 (GMT)
Rule suggestion
How about a new guideline/BetaWiki rule? Respect the administrators and their decisions. That is all. --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 01:44, 8 March 2015 (GMT)
- That is a good idea. Could you please add it to BetaWiki talk:Rules, which is the defacto place for suggesting rules?
- Just out of interest, did you suggest the rule because I demoted ovctvct? I kept him the VIP status as he helped us a lot with getting rid of vandalism and I thought it'd be a bit unfair to not acknowledge that.
--AlphaBeta (talk) 12:08, 8 March 2015 (GMT)
- Yuppety yup. That was part of the reason. Altho still a good rule suggestion. --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 17:45, 8 March 2015 (GMT)
- Actually, ovctvct was now demoted to regular member as I realized something from the vandal attack on 8th. --AlphaBeta (talk) 21:55, 10 March 2015 (GMT)
- What did you realize? --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 23:20, 10 March 2015 (GMT)
- Brandon, it might not be appropriate for AlphaBeta to divulge such information, I would not expect a response about it. User99672 (talk) 04:18, 11 March 2015 (GMT)
- The log entry says that ovctvct has a vandalism past on several Windows-related bulletin boards, of course we can't have a vandal as sysop. Tau Ceti (talk) 07:56, 11 March 2015 (GMT)
- Yes, but I only spammed WinWorld(because they called BA a [censored]) and LWB, as a moderator, I moved all the staff topics in their public forum, and banned several members for no real reason, vandalised rules posts etc. But I haven't vandalised anything else except those 2 forums.--Ovctvct (talk) 10:27, 11 March 2015 (GMT)
- I hope you realize that you are just as, or more immature than you felt WinWorld was. You have a long way to go. User99672 (talk) 16:32, 11 March 2015 (GMT)
- In any good wiki community, respect is key. I'm for this new rule. Tau Ceti (talk) 22:37, 13 March 2015 (GMT)
- yeah yeah, respect is fine and all (I would not put such stringent dedication on it), but such a rule should not be monopolizing. There is potential for abuse by administrators with this rule. There needs to be multiple administrators and oversight, a staff member could easily say "oh I don't like this, therefore I will find it 'disrespectful', I'll just delete it and ban the user without anyone else questioning me", as demonstrated by ovctvct earlier when I criticized an Office page. User99672 (talk) 09:20, 14 March 2015 (GMT)

Can you change protection of my user page?
Well, since I'm no longer an admin, I can no longer edit my user page. --Ovctvct (talk) 13:49, 8 March 2015 (GMT)
Vandalism
User:C*nt is vandalizing user pages. Block him now since ovctvct is no longer admin --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 18:47, 8 March 2015 (GMT)

Why is he now a bureaucrat? Tau Ceti (talk) 06:45, 8 April 2015 (BST)
Quick deletion
When you have a spare moment, check out my in-progress quick deletion policy. It's here: User:Tau Ceti/Quick deletion. Tau Ceti (talk) 00:36, 3 May 2015 (BST)
- I appreciate the help. Just saying, I think we need a fuller set of policies and guidelines for BetaWiki. I know we have the Rules page already, but it would be good to have new policies concerning different parts of the wiki. Hence, I have made the Quick deletion page. Tau Ceti (talk) 10:02, 5 May 2015 (BST)
Regarding Ovctvct
He destroyed the LegacyWinBeta forum for no reason, but he spammed WinWorld back in December last year. Today, he spammed Brandon Pimenta forums. While I don't support the creation of the forum, it's their decisions to create the forum and hate me so that ovctvct posts on Pimenta forums with the username "A**HOLE" and spams it tell them to go [censored] themselves as they are not the real me. Sure, a polite reply wouldn't hurt, but all caps and repetition makes that case spamming. What do you think? --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 01:31, 15 May 2015 (BST)
- I actually fully agree with Brandon here, ovctvct's behavior is ridiculous. Not only do the aforementioned examples apply (not that I'm so in love with what LWB was anyway), but he additionally spammed WinWorld over stitch disagreeing with Battler, which was absolute zilch of his business. ovctvct has proven himself incapable of staff positions *anywhere* due to his destructive, egotistical nature. User99672 (talk) 05:24, 15 May 2015 (BST)
- A little unrelated trivia: Ovctvct registered for a MediaWiki account on 3rd December 2014: http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ACentralAuth&target=Ovctvct. Now, back on topic, because of your statement, I have removed Ovctvct from admin position on my ClassicBeta wiki. If there is any spam coming from him afterwards because he's no longer admin I will block him. In addition, I've added Tau Ceti as an admin, because I felt he's a good contributor on this wiki, as well as on ClassicBeta. --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 08:42, 15 May 2015 (BST)
- And that's why was he demoted, following the LegacyWinBeta forum accident. First to VIP, then when somebody spammed BetaWiki "incidentally" after his demotion (read the "new rule suggestion" section), he was demoted to regular member. --AlphaBeta (talk) 15:44, 15 May 2015 (BST)
- And now he just spammed Gabegriggs1's HyperOperatedTech forum, with a malicious post telling me to go [censored] myself. This means that ovctvct has now spammed four forums: WinBoards, LegacyWinBeta, the fake "BRANDON PIMENTA" forums and HyperOperatedTech. --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 14:09, 11 June 2015 (BST)
- Even though I'd sound a bit harsh but I think this is unrelated to here BetaWiki, so I'm kindly asking to not repost anymore about it. We all know he's an asshole, a tard, whatever you'd like to call him. If he was really a good guy or he ever had a positive clean personality he'd not go into sheepy actions which proves that he shouldn't be treated more than being neglected all over the sites he go to. Let's forget about him and move on. Thank you. --AirportsFan (talk) 20:54, 11 June 2015 (BST)
- Ovctvct has now become a mod on hyperOperatedTech and has promised to not spam again. He seems to have this urge to improve kind of like WindowsHistorian77 has. He is in full support of my forum now and if he makes one wrong move (which I do not expect him to) then he will be permabanned like Kelton2 did when he turned against us. Mostly what destroyed LWB is all of the drama that happened on it's previous IRC channel. A lot of it was dealing with Kelton2. (gabegriggs1

Getting sick of all this
I am annoyed by those vandals/impersonators. Also it is not me using talk pages as a PM service, it's Ovctvct whom you should be warning. Tau Ceti (talk) 00:35, 31 May 2015 (BST)
- There have only been two recently, both have been blocked, the second one was blocked before they even managed to do anything, so I don't see any reason why should you get sick of this.
- As for the second part, all I did is that I removed the thread (which was on your talk page), no official warnings have been given. Obviously, had I given these, they'd go to Ovctvct.
- --AlphaBeta (talk) 18:32, 2 June 2015 (BST)
Windows 95 builds
I have requested them for deletion because there are no sources. Tau Ceti (talk) 08:14, 31 July 2015 (BST)
- I have found two of these in a strange BetaArchive thread, so I have restored these pages meanwhile I find more information about them. --AlphaBeta (talk) 20:35, 31 July 2015 (BST)
Spammer
The user Friend1211 creates spam pages with porn and whatnot.--Ovctvct (talk) 06:30, 8 November 2015 (GMT)
Another spammer
Nearly a year after BetaWiki's worst spam flow in history here comes another spammer "YAHOO PHONE NUMBER 0800 086 8676 YAHOO HELPLINE NUMBER". Tau already cleaned it up but I think a block of the spammer should be necessary. --InfinityPlus1 (talk) 12:40, 17 January 2016 (GMT)
