Office 2010

Office 2010 is a version of Microsoft Office, released on 25 April 2010. It includes newer PowerPoint animation effects, new splash screens, and the ribbon interface is now available in every application. Office 2010 ended its support on 13 October 2020.

The final build number is 14.0.4760. Many torrents and even OEMs distribute build 4734 (which is not the final RTM build), as "RTM".

System requirements[edit | edit source]

Office 2010 is the first version to have an x64 variant, though the x64 variant has some limitations. The x86 version requires Windows XP SP3 or newer, the x64 version requires Windows Vista SP1 or newer, though it can be tricked to run on Windows XP SP2[1][note 1] and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.[2] Using Extended Kernel, this version can also theoretically run on Windows 2000, though you may encounter some bugs (like Office 2007). Unofficially, this is the last version of Office that supports Windows 2000. Officially, this is the last version of Microsoft Office to support Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP1-SP2 and Windows Server 2008 RTM-SP2 as the following version, Microsoft Office 2013 only supports Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, or later, with Windows 11 being unsupported.

This is the latest version of Microsoft Office to support non-PAE, SSE2, and NX processors.

Click to Run[edit | edit source]

Office 2010 includes a new "Click to Run" (C2R) installer as an alternative to the old MSI installer. It is used in the Starter, Home and Business and Home and Student SKUs.
