Windows XP build 2498 is a build of Windows XP. The supposed Professional SKU of this build was shared on BetaArchive on 28 April 2011,[1] then it was referred to on 30 August 2018 as it turned out to be the Home Edition SKU instead.[2] The real ISO of the former SKU eventually surfaced on 24 October 2020.[3]

Setup of the Home Edition SKU allows an upgrade from the Professional SKU of an earlier build. However, in the OOBE, the user will be asked for their name. Additionally, the default theme is set to Windows Classic.
