This build changes the login message to "Preparing your desktop...".
The Windows Experience Index check received an update.
Language packs from the RTM can now be installed.
Resuming from hibernation animation has been updated to be more similar to the RTM.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

Graphics driver[edit | edit source]

The default VGA graphics adapter is very buggy, often having the screen flicker through resolutions and cannot have resolutions higher than 800x600 pixels. However, if you upgrade from a previous build, you can have 1024x768 and higher.

Horizontal icon spacing[edit | edit source]

There is a quirk in this build, which is that icons do not have horizontal spacing by default. This quirk would persist in builds that come from vbl_media branches up until build 5491.
