Windows Vista build 6002.18005 is the official RTM build of Windows Vista Service Pack 2. It was made available to MSDN subscribers on 28 April 2009, and released to the Microsoft Download Center and Windows Update on 26 May 2009.
Separately, the 7 May 2013 "Update Rollup" for Windows Vista SP2 installs the latest versions of these components supported on this build, which include new components backported from Windows 7, and enhancements and components backported from Windows 8. These include:

- Windows Live Essentials 2011
- Windows Driver Frameworks version 1.11
- .NET Framework versions 3.5 SP1 and 4.5
- Visual C++ 2012 runtime
- Windows Automation API version 3.0 (MSAA and UI Automation updates)
- Windows Graphics Runtime (Direct2D, Direct3D 10 Level 9, Direct3D 11, DirectX 11, DXGI 1.1, DirectWrite, and WARP)
- XPS Document API, XPS Rasterization Service, and XPS Print API
- Windows Ribbon and Animation Manager Library (Windows Animation Manager API and Windows Ribbon API)
- Windows Portable Devices Platform (Media Transfer Protocol over Bluetooth and WPD over MTP Device Services)
- Windows Management Framework 2.0 (consisting of Background Intelligent Tranfer Service (BITS) version 4.0, Windows PowerShell 2.0, and Remote Management 2.0)
- Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) version 7.0

- Better wireless and Bluetooth support; most notably, a Bluetooth Control Panel applet has been introduced.

- Support for burning on Blu-ray discs.
