Windows Server 2003 build 2430 is a build of Windows Server 2003. Only the Datacenter Server SKU of this build is currently available, while the Server and Advanced Server SKUs have yet to be found.

New features and changes[edit | edit source]

This is the earliest available server build to drop the classic Windows flag used from Windows NT 3.1 Advanced Server to 2000 Server for the one used from Server 2003 to Server 2008 R2, although many resources still use the old flag (including the boot screen).
Setup and the Welcome screen have been redesigned to the Luna style.
The Watercolor theme has been replaced with the Luna theme.
Classic title bars now use solid colors instead of gradients by default, similar to Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0.
The copyright date of winver.exe has been updated from 2000 to 2001.
The toolbar icons in Windows Explorer have been updated with a larger (and somewhat different) version of the RTM icons.
Windows Explorer now uses the "classic folders" option by default.
Outlook Express has been updated to version 6.0.
Calculator, Command Prompt, Help and Support Center, Paint, and WordPad received new icons.
Shutdown Event Tracker is now enabled by default; the user is now being asked to provide a reason for shutting down or restarting, as well as after the system shut down or restarted unexpectedly.
All bugcheck code changes up to its client counterpart has been implemented.
