Windows 95 build 484
|Build of Windows 95|
Windows 95 build 484 is the first June Test Release build of Windows 95. The boot screen now reads "June Test Release", and the shutdown and safe to shutdown screens use a different font. The final safe to shutdown screen would be used on all Windows 9x builds after this, even up to Windows ME's RTM. Alongside, the setup billboards during file copying has been replaced with the ones from the RTM.
Check/Debug version bug[edit | edit source]
The Check/Debug version has a small bug, which is why the second part of the installation freezes at the moment the "Main" folder is created. In order to fix this bug, you need to:
1. Install the build as usual.
2. Switch to safe mode.
3. Open regedit.
4. Go to:
5. Change the value of Wallpaper to None.
6. Delete all parameters in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce except Default and Wallpaper.
