Windows 11 build 25941 is the last Insider Preview build of Gallium, the 24H1 development semester of Windows as a service, before the development fluently transitioned into the next milestone, Germanium. It was released to Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel on 31 August 2023, along with its server counterpart.[1]
Its Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) counterpart was additionally distributed to enterprises as the second and final preview release of the Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC preview program.[2] The LTSC variant of this build was uploaded by Chinese website BetaWorld on 1 February 2024.

Shell[edit | edit source]
The link for troubleshooting device discovery and other casting issues in the Cast flyout in Quick Settings, initially implemented in build 23526, has been ported to this build.
Settings[edit | edit source]
- A new toggle switch has been added under System > Display > Advanced display to turn on and off dynamic refresh rate (DRR).
- Some refresh rates options under System > Display > Advanced display will show an asterisk.
- Labels have been added to the options for tuning intensity and color boost of color filters under Accessibility > Color filters.
- The graph at the top of the System > Power & Battery page has been removed.
Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
- Fixed the issue that was impacting the File Explorer context menu and command bar dropdowns, causing them to become transparent, and not work with touch.
- Fixed the issue that was impacting File Explorer launch reliability.
- Fixed the issue that was causing the Japanese and Chinese IMEs to not work properly in certain apps, and to not work correctly in the File Explorer search box.
- Fixed the issue that was causing the Settings app to crash when viewing detailed Battery usage.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
- Adjusting screen brightness may not work on some laptops.
- The icons on the desktop may appear blank in certain cases. Refreshing the desktop would resolve this issue.
- Text on highlighted items in Microsoft Management Console and some of its snap-ins may have a yellow color.
