New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Taskbar[edit | edit source]

The ability to show abbreviated date/time in the system tray, previously disabled in build 22635.3936, has been once again rolled out.

Start menu[edit | edit source]

The category view of All apps list, initially implemented in build 22635.3930, is fully functional in this build. It's disabled by default, but can be activated manually by enabling the 47205210, 48433719 and 49221331 velocity staging keys.

Bugfixes[edit | edit source]

  • Fixed an issue where when pressing ⇧ Shift while right-clicking on an app icon on the taskbar, it was opening another instance of the app rather than opening the expected menu.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing explorer.exe to crash when pressing ⇧ Shift while right-clicking on an app icon on the taskbar.
  • Fixed an issue where the dropdown menu at the top of the GPU section of Task Manager's Performance page wasn't showing in dark mode.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Subcategories within the category of All apps list may not functional correctly.
  • Closing apps from the taskbar may cause explorer.exe to crash in certain cases.
  • Switching to the kaomoji and symbols sections or selecting an emoji may cause the emoji panel to close unexpectedly.
  • Keyboard focus may be lost on selection of an unselected tab item if the visual improvements to the File Explorer's Home page (previously introduced in build 22635.3930) are enabled.
