New features and changes[edit | edit source]

Copilot[edit | edit source]

The ability to undock Copilot in Windows to a normal application window, initially implemented in build 26080, has been backported to this build and rolled out to a subset of users.

Shell[edit | edit source]

  • The user interaction of the Windows Spotlight icon on the desktop has been slightly adjusted. Right-clicking it will now launch the Spotlight UI without any change to the desktop set up, while double-clicking it will launch the Spotlight UI in fullscreen mode. This change is only available to a subset of users, but can be activated manually by enabling the 49140016 velocity staging key.
  • The ability to show recommended apps from Microsoft Store under the Recommended section on the Start menu has been added and rolled out to a subset of users. It can be toggled via the "Show recommendations for tips, app promotions, and more" option under Personalization > Start in the Settings app.

Settings[edit | edit source]

A new Linked devices subpage has been added under the Accounts page for managing devices PCs and Xbox consoles that are signed in to with a Microsoft account. This page is only available on the Home and Pro SKUs with a Microsoft account signed in, and can be activated manually by enabling the 47448915 and 48546544 velocity staging keys.

Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]

  • Internet Information Services (IIS) and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) may not work after installing this build.
  • Voice access and Windows Ink may not work reliably if the undocking experience for Copilot is enabled.
  • Toggling the Widgets option under Personalization > Taskbar in the Settings app may refresh the taskbar.
  • Swipe invocation for the Widgets board and unpinning the Widgets entry point from the taskbar may not work if the taskbar is center-aligned.
  • The Widgets board may be incorrectly positioned when Copilot is in side-by-side mode.
