Windows 11 build 22622.440 is a build of Windows 11 2022 Update. It was released to a subset of Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel on 28 July 2022 as the KB5015669 enablement update to build 22621.440 for new features included, which may not be enabled by default and instead be rolled out.
New features and changes[edit | edit source]
Taskbar[edit | edit source]
The taskbar overflow feature, initially introduced in build 25163, has been rolled out to a subset of users.

Widgets[edit | edit source]
The ability show live content from the sports and finance widgets along with breaking news alerts on Widgets entry point, initially introduced in build 25136, has been added.
- This feature is only available to a subset of users.
Shell[edit | edit source]
The redesigned Open With dialog box, initially re-introduced in build 25151, has been rolled out for all users.
Settings[edit | edit source]
The support for uninstalling apps which have inter-dependencies, repairing and modifying Win32 apps have been added under the Installed apps page.
Input[edit | edit source]
The key repeat rate for the traditional and touch keyboard layout as well as the default touch keyboard layout has been changed to 20 keys per second.
Bugfixes[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue leading to some users experiencing
explorer.exe
crashes when docking and undocking monitors in 22622.436.
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
- Fixed a memory leak when using tabs with File Explorer.
- Fixed an issue where Narrator wasn't reading out the titles of tabs as focus moved through them.
- Fixed an issue where the preview thumbnail for File Explorer in the taskbar, Alt+Tab ↹ and Task View might show the title of an adjacent tab and not the currently selected one.
- Fixed an issue where the add new tab button might overlap with the minimize button in the title bar when using text scaling with a lot of tabs open.
Suggested actions[edit | edit source]
- Fixed an issue which was leading to certain apps freezing after a copy action if suggested actions was enabled.
- Fixed a high hitting crash impacting suggested actions reliability.
Bugs and quirks[edit | edit source]
General[edit | edit source]
- The Photos app may crash in some cases.
- SQL Server Management Studio may fail to launch.
File Explorer[edit | edit source]
- The left-half of the File Explorer title bar may not be draggable via mouse or touch.
- Launching File Explorer when using dark mode may unexpectedly show the body of File Explorer in light mode.
- The Up button next to File Explorer address bar may be misaligned with other buttons.
- This issue will only be encountered if the tabbed browsing feature is enabled on the device.
