Windows 10 build 10036 is a build of Windows 10. It was a candidate for release to Windows Insiders, however, due to a few major bugs that seriously affected usability, Microsoft decided that it would not be released. It eventually leaked on 14 March 2015 to OSBetaArchive.

This build includes the new upgrade setup interface when upgrading from a previous build or Windows version, which would make its way to the RTM, although it says "Installing Windows" instead of "Upgrading Windows".

Bugs[edit | edit source]

  • The People, Mail, and Calendar apps will not open in this build.
  • In some cases, opening a folder on the Start menu with sufficient items within it, and then closing it again, will cause it to crash and fail to open again for several minutes.
